A satyr on the justices wch were sent out off commission by King James 2 : manuscript, [not before 1700].

Unsigned English manuscript of three poems, the first being a satire of unknown authorship dated 1688 and directed at Justices of the Peace Sir John Napier, Sir Francis Wingate, Justice Snagg, Justice Bedford, and P---M, sent out of commission by King James II, the second a copy of John Pomfret's popular poem of 1700 entitled "The choice," and the third an untitled anonymous parody of Pomfret's "The choice." Includes a prefatory inscription, probably by Sir Francis Palgrave, dated 1842 and signed "F. Palgrave."
